Job Description

The Academy Director will be responsible for the overall growth, management, and strategic direction of Bloom Academy.

The successful candidate will oversee academic operations, student experience, curriculum quality, tutor management, admissions, partnerships, marketing collaboration, revenue growth, and long-term expansion.

This role requires someone who can build systems, develop people, and transform Bloom Academy into one of Africa's most respected creative and digital learning institutions.

 

Responsibilities

1. Academy Leadership

  • Lead the overall operations of Bloom Academy.
  • Develop the Academy's long-term strategy.
  • Build scalable systems.
  • Ensure the Academy meets its vision and objectives.
  • Report directly to the Lead Director.

 

2. Student Experience

Responsible for:

  • Admissions.
  • Student onboarding.
  • Student engagement.
  • Graduation.
  • Alumni community.

3. Programme Development

  • Design new courses.
  • Improve existing curriculum.
  • Recruit industry experts.
  • Develop certification programmes.
  • Ensure content remains relevant.

 

4. Tutor Management

  • Recruit tutors.
  • Evaluate tutor performance.
  • Conduct quality assurance.
  • Schedule classes.
  • Ensure teaching excellence.

 

5. Marketing Collaboration

Work with Bloom Digital to:

  • Increase student enrolment.
  • Improve lead generation.
  • Launch campaigns.
  • Improve conversion rates.
  • Build Bloom Academy's brand.

 

6. Revenue Growth

  • Student enrolment.
  • Revenue.
  • Course completion.
  • Corporate training sales.
  • Partnerships.
  • Student referrals.

 

7. Partnership Development

Responsible for developing partnerships with:

  • Universities.
  • NYSC.
  • Companies.
  • NGOs.
  • Government agencies.

 

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should possess:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Communications, or any other relevant discipline.

3–5 years of progressive experience in programme management, learning & development, education management, EdTech, corporate training, or a related field.

Demonstrated experience managing projects, programmes, or educational initiatives from planning through execution.

Experience supervising or coordinating teams, tutors, facilitators, or cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, or online education environments.

Proven ability to build relationships with students, partners, facilitators, and other stakeholders.

Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Strong commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to student acquisition, programme growth, and revenue generation.
